Comments from Willem de Beer in Australia and connected family relations elsewhere refers. My brother, Floris Petrus de Beer (Fonnie) and his wife Heleen (nee Botha) recently visited their oldest son Neil de Beer and his family in Sydney,Australia. Their second son, Thinus and his family is also about to emigrate to OZ. Quite a number of enquiries about the De Beer family were received from abroad. These enquiries were all refer to Jaleen de Beer, co-author of the phenomenal research project of the De Beer family in South Africa. Her co-author, Diwwie de Beer, is due to his very high years in age, now a dormant compiler and not as active as before. De Beers who derived from their respective genealogical history may of course vary according to their respective countries of birth and origen. For example, a very reknoned journalist in France carries the surname, De Beer. The sam goes for De Beers in Germany and interestingly, in Wales !
